Vampires are supernaturally reanimated corpses that drink blood to maintain their vitality. They are animated by their human souls, which kept trapped in their corpses by the supernatural powers of vampire blood.
Creation[]
Vampires are created from humans by an unknown process that involves a vampire's bite and a transfer of blood. Humans who have consumed vampire blood and died so will rise undead. The nature of the human's death is irrelevant, however the body must be intact and able to function.
History[]
Vampires have existed since the beginning of humanity. According to the Vampire Bible, God created the first vampire, Lilith, followed by the creation of the first humans, Adam and Eve. They were said to have been created as sustenance for Lilith, but the truth of this statement is unknown. However, most humans from among the right-wing Christians believe that vampires were created by the Devil and that they have no souls.
Simone Piccardo has stated that, many centuries ago, vampires created many of the vampire myths themselves in order to protect themselves. For instance, since it was believed that vampires could not be seen in the mirror, a vampire could prove that they weren't a vampire by appearing in a mirror. Other myths include holy water, holy grounds (i.e. religious buildings and establishments), crucifixes, and photography (i.e. it is possible to take a photograph of a vampire), which have no actual effect on vampires.
In 1610, a powerful witch named Antonia Gavilán de Logroño cast a spell that summoned all vampires within a 20 mile radius to expose themselves to sunlight. This caused a number of vampires to die.
In 2006, vampires revealed their existence to humans, an event referred to as "the Great Revelation", "coming out of the coffin" and "mainstreaming". During the revelation, vampires began claiming that vampirism did not indicate rising from the dead, but that it was a disease which makes vampires allergic to sunlight and alters their dietary needs.
Physiology[]

When they are in human form, vampires looks completely normal. However, when they calls upon their powers or when they are thirsty for blood, upper canines grow into fangs and their eyes turn black. This is the typical face taken by a vampire when he has to eat, however, a vampire may also decide to release only the fangs.
Blood is the main component of a vampire's diet; be it animal, human or vampire. If a vampire fails to drink blood, their body will become severely weak, and will ultimately desiccate into mummification. Blood will not only satisfy a vampire’s thirst, but will also increase their supernatural abilities. The longer a vampire abstains from blood, the more likely the vampire will becoming increasingly feral. Eventually they will lose all sense of their humanity and rationality until they finally give into their bloodlust.
Vampires themselves are extremely feral, predatory creatures, and far more beast-like and savage than their human appearance suggests. They growl, hiss, snarl, and curl their lips back baring their fangs as signs of aggression when provoked.
Powers and Abilities[]
Vampires possess a number of powers that make them deadly creatures. Most, if not all of the following abilities work better if the vampire has drunk human blood from a living source- if they are cut off from it a long period of time, they become weak and unable to use their power. Furthermore the older a vampire is, the stronger his or her powers are.
- Super Strength - Vampires are noticeably much physically stronger than average adult human beings. While vampires get stronger with age, younger vampires can have sufficient strength to withstand their elders such as the case in which Aidan, after drinking live human blood, fought and defeated his sire, Bishop, a vampire significantly older than himself.
- Healing Factor- Vampires can take a lot of punishment and will heal quite quickly, but not instantly as shown when Aidan still had a round mark after being impaled. The healing speed and effectiveness is improved if the vampire feeds on living blood from a human. Henry, for example, needed to feed from two humans to regrow his skin.
- Super Senses - Vampires possess heightened senses.
- Mind Compulsion - Vampires have the ability to influence a human's mind is called "compelling", and while it is an ability that comes naturally with vampirism, it is very difficult to use. Compulsion does not seem to work on werewolves, ghosts and other vampires.
- Super Stamina - Vampires have far more endurance and stamina than humans. They can run, fight and exert themselves much more and for longer than any human, though they can still get fatigued and even knocked out.
- Immortality - Vampires will never age another day after they are turned and will live forever unless they are killed in specific ways.
- Fangs - Vampires can extend a pair of fangs from their mouths that allow them to feed on blood.
- Clairvoyance - As supernatural beings, vampires can see and hear ghosts. They can also sense werewolves, who give off a distinct, dog-like stench that can only be detected by vampires and other werewolves.
- Telepathic Connection - Vampire sires have a conection with their offspring, allowing them to hear their cries if close enough.
- Eidetic Memory - vampires have perfect recall of events, that happened many years ago.
Weaknesses[]
- Sunlight - Prolonged exposure to sunlight will result in death.
- Dessication - A lack of blood for a prolonged period of time will cause vampires to weaken and begin to resemble a corpse.
- Iron - Iron can be used to contain, injure, and kill vampires.
- Decapitation - Severing a vampires head will result in instant death
