Synopsis[]

After Shaggy's incredibly rich uncle Albert Shaggleford mysteriously disappears and names Shaggy as his sole heir for an inheritance, Scooby and Shaggy, accompanied by Daphne, Scrappy-Doo, and a young con artist named Flim Flam, embark on a quest across dimensions to stop the evil plans of Albert’s archenemy Dr. Phineas Phibes and save the world.

With the help of the inheritance and his uncle’s inventions, Shaggy has upgraded the Mystery Machine so that it now has the ability to transform itself into a number of other different vehicles, like the Hotdog Making Machine, as well as travel through dimensions.

Assisting them is Flim Flam's friend, a warlock named Vincent Van Ghoul, who contacts the gang using his crystal ball and often employs magic and witchcraft to assist them. For some extra firepower, the New Gang+ also counts on Albert’s loyal robot servant named Robi, their new riches, and the new and improved Scooby Snacks mixed with a top-secret nanotech formula.

New Gang+[]

Scooby-Doo: Shaggy's pet Great Dane and best friend, he is also Scrappy-Doo's idolized uncle. By consuming the nano-infused Scooby Snacks, he is granted incredible powers of some such that last until he has digested them, which is usually signaled by a loud burp.

Shaggy: Scooby's owner and best friend, Daphne's boyfriend, team mechanic, and main benefactor. After inheriting a large fortune from his Uncle Albert, he found himself plunged into a world of high-tech/mystical interdimensional crime-fighting. He is the only one who can match Scooby's appetite.

Daphne: The gang's de facto leader and Shaggy's girlfriend. A confident and adventurous reporter and martial artist from a wealthy background who also serves as the group's financial advisor and support benefactor. She is also a very resourceful fashionista and a skilled cheerleader.

Scrappy-Doo: Scooby's boisterous, daring, and devoted nephew. The youngest and smallest member of the gang after Flim-Flam, as well as the most excitable. He constantly creates new inventions in Albert's lab as he is too young to eat the nano-infused Scooby Snacks. He is surprisingly strong despite his size.

Flim-Flam: A mischievous pre-teen con artist from Tibet. He and Scrappy often wear disguises to deceive the gang's enemies. Ever since he moved to Uncle Albert's mansion with the gang he started an honest business selling ghost hunting equipment and souvenirs with Shaggy's financial assistance.

Vincent Van Ghoul: A renowned magician and warlock, with extensive knowledge of the supernatural, and Flim-Flam's friend. After encountering the gang, he gave them a crystal ball that can be used to contact him should they stumble into any kind of supernatural threats in their trans-dimensional quest.

Robi: A multi-gadget robotic butler, willed to Shaggy by his uncle, Dr. Albert Shaggleford. He is a polite service robot that always tries his best to please Shaggy and the other members of the gang. However, being Albert's first invention, his programming isn't perfect: he doesn't have a very good understanding of figures of speech, often causes collateral destruction across the mansion, and always insists on calling Scooby "Rooby-Roo" and Scrappy "Rappy-Roo".

Allies[]

Fred: An old and close friend of the gang. As an article writer for Traps Illustrated, Fred is very talented at building traps on top of having written a fairly successful mystery book series based on his old adventures traveling with Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy. A loveable jock through and through, he is always just one phone call away if New Gang+ is in need of some extra muscle or a plan crazy enough to work.

Velma: An old and close friend of the gang. A highly intelligent and studious young woman with extensive knowledge in various fields, including archaeology and engineering, that's only matched by her love for a good mystery. She was the one who helped Shaggy upgrade the Mystery Machine and occasionally comes over to visit Albert's lab.

Jabberjaw: An air-breathing, Brooklyn-accented anthropomorphic great white shark who is the drummer/mascot of the rock group The Neptunes. He has the unique ability to change his shape or adapt himself to act like various objects such as a trampoline, parachute, jack, throw rug, etc., either to get himself and the gang out of a jam or just to hide.

Biff: An athletic, handsome, brown-haired young man who is the guitar player and level-headed leader of The Neptunes who books all the gigs.

Shelly: A dark-haired young woman who plays tambourine for The Neptunes. She is attractive and intelligent, but haughty, vain, and abrasive and considers herself to be the star of the band. While she usually acts contemptuous towards Jabberjaw (or "Blubberhead" as she calls him), this is a cover for the fact that they are in a relationship.

Bubbles: The ditzy, dimwitted, blonde, curly-haired keyboard player of The Neptunes.

Clamhead: A tall and slim, red-haired young man who plays bass for The Neptunes and is Jabberjaw's best friend.

Rogues[]

Dr. Phineus Phibes: A mad scientist who aims to gain immortality (by attaining Uncle Albert's secret nanotech formula) and take over the multiverse; whichever comes first. In his younger days, Phibes conducted a highly dangerous experiment with electricity, which cost him his left hand (he wears a prosthetic that functions as a high-tech Swiss Army knife) and makes him a living lightning rod—hence, he seldom ventures outdoors, as doing so makes him susceptible to being struck by lightning, regardless of the weather.

Shaggy and Scooby-Doo’s Adventures Chronicles is an upcoming spinoff/parallel series based on Shaggy and Scooby-Doo's Adventures Series, featuring all-new original adventures starring the New Gang+, their familiar friends... and enemies.

The group name ‘New Gang+’ is a homage to the YouTuber Billiam, whose reviews of Scooby-Doo’s various incarnations greatly inspired the series.

This series is not related to the Pooh's Adventures continuity.
