随着节拍机练琴不好，理由是：
1、节拍机的“点子”打得太死，而音乐的拍点是活的。即使拍子最规整的进行曲，与节拍机的“打点”也不完全一样，更不要说其他性质的乐曲了。所以，我们形容音乐的节拍像海浪，像麦浪，像脉搏，有律动，有节奏，但那是活的，有生命的，不是死板的。
2、节拍机打出的是噪音。弹琴人应集中注意力倾听自己弹出的乐音。如果迫使他转而注意（并且还要服从）不绝于耳的噪音，实在不是件令人愉快的事情。 难怪约瑟夫·霍夫曼告诫：“永远不要跟着节拍机弹奏”。
