Maria The Hedgehog Robotnik was a character from Sonic the Hedgehog. She was Professor Gerald Robotnik's granddaugther and Dr. Robotnik's cousin. She was Shadow the Hedgehog's human friend and a terminally ill patient on the Space Colony ARK. Professor Gerald, along with Black Doom created Shadow to study immortality in hopes of curing Maria. Shadow became Maria's best friend, until she was killed by the Guardian Unit of Nations after releasing Shadow in a cyrogenic tube to spare his life.
