It was written by Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein, based on the Story Idea by Betty G. Birney, Judy Rothman Rofe, John Swartzwelder, George Meyer and Jon Vitti and directed by David Silverman, Neil Affleck, Kent Butterworth and Jim Reardon. It reunites James Woods as Quinn, the Head Elf, John Goodman as Santa Claus, Sutton Foster as Granny, Peter Boyle as Father, Tim Allen as Bernard, Martin Short as Jack Frost and Billy Connolly as Lord Cucuface.
