Madeline and Laurel and Hardy is the ninth Episode of Madeline's First Season.
The Episode is written by John Swartzwelder and George Meyer and directed by Jim Henson. It's the first Episode to guest recurring Stars Bronson Pinchot and Gailard Sartain as Laurel and Hardy, it also guest stars Steve Martin as the Waiter, Charles Grodin as Doc Hopper and Rowan Atkinson as his sidekick Crombell.

The Episode is written by Simpsons Writers John Swartzwelder and George Meyer and directed by Jim Henson. This is the first Episode both Swartzwelder and Meyer wrote for Madeline. Meyer pitched some Ideas and all of them are good, the same happens to Swartzwelder, who according to D.B. Sweeney, has been a big fan of Preston Sturges.
John Swartzwelder came up with the Idea of Laurel and Hardy coming over to live with Miss Clavel and the twelve Girls. They watched the Short Films in a Screening Theater in New England.
