Personality: Kairi has a bubbly personality, and she erupts with boundless energy. She’s very acrobatic, which gives her an advantage when using her powers. She also has a soft spot for anything, like animals, children, or occasionally the elves at North’s workshop and the baby tooth fairies. Kairi also loves using her powers to achieve inner peace, as well as meditate for hours on end. Sometimes, she is often timid and modest girl who is sometimes afraid to ask anything.

Good Habits: Kairi is a good listener, and she’s often composed and careful in performing her duties as a Guardian. And she is also good at training others, and helping them stay in line perfectly.

Bad Habits: Kairi does not always know how to control her own thoughts and feelings. She may often step out of line and attack recklessly, without any reasoning. Sometimes, if upset, she may try to use her powers as a weapon.

Powers/Abilities:

Water Manipulation= Kairi can control bodies of water using her mind and her feelings. However, the severity and behavior of water depend on how she feels.

Walking on Water= Kairi can glide above watery surfaces without sinking or falling in.

Dream/Water pool communication= Kairi uses various forms of spiritual communication. She can speak to children by using her voice to enter their dreams, and helps guide them toward the paths of good and morality. In some cases, she must communicate to the Guardians via pools of water in case she is in need of help.

Shapeshifting= Kairi mainly uses this power as an easy method of preventing herself from being spotted by Pitch and his minions. She can turn into either people, animals, or plant life.

Dreams: Kairi dreams of helping all the children of the world become a great leader or hero someday. She also dreams that people will never stop believing in the Guardians.

Life Story: Kairi was born in a small fishing village in Hamnøy, Norway. She was the middle child in a family of six. This included her parents, her two older brothers, and two sisters. Being from a family of fishermen, Kairi was easily the most experienced in trapping and catching fish. As a child, she loved to hang around the fjords and ponds of her village. During the winter times, there was a hot spring near a clearing in the woods. She would often go there just to dip her feet inside the water, or to fetch warm water for her family. She would often accompany her father and brothers on their routine fishing trips, which often sparked a lot of wonder, as well as a bit of jealousy, form the other fishermen.

When Kairi was eighteen, she went with her family on a rafting trip through the fjords one summer afternoon. They had gone to the fjord to have a family picnic, as well as go swimming for a little. Her brothers and father invited her to go rafting toward the edge of the fjord that led to the ocean. As they were rafting carefully, a summer storm began to brew. However, Kairi was being pulled away from the current leading back to shore. So were her brothers. When Kairi saw that her brothers were dangerously close to the edge that led to the ocean, Kairi hurriedly rowed in front of them to block the exit. This managed to save her brothers. But for Kairi, not so much. The powerful winds caused waves to increase, thus pushing Kairi farther away. the waves crashed in front of her, thus causing her to drift farther away from her family and drown farther out at sea.

The next night, she woke up different. She was still in the ocean, motionless. Her hair turned blue. Her eyes changed color; now they were purple. She wondered what had happened to her family. As she was still drowned in the ocean, she was instantly pulled from the ocean, as if by magic. She then tried to find her family. By the time she found her family, she found them holding a funeral in her memory. She tried to reach her father and convince her that she wasn’t dead, but was later shocked to realize that her family members couldn’t see or hear her. Still feeling lost and sad, Kairi then tried to contact her friends and neighbors. However, it was the same; none of her friends, neighbors, or teachers could see her. Then, the truth dawned on her: she was dead to the world. Feeling lost and alone, Kairi drifted away from the village she once knew, to roam wherever she could.

At the same time, she also began seeing weird shadows appearing in the woods. Feeling afraid, Kairi tried to ward off the shadows. But the shadows kept chasing her, until they finally held her captive. At this point, it was also the moment she came into contact with the Boogeyman himself, Pitch. His minions could smell her fear, and at that point, Pitch decided that Kairi would be a formidable slave to carry out his duties in making sure that every child in the world is full of fear.

For the years that came, Kairi was held hostage as Pitch’s slave, being kept in his prison for Pitch’s pleasure and work. For years, she was tormented by Pitch, often resulting in her being incarcerated in chains and cages. And for many years, Pitch had tried to manipulate Kairi’s mind into believing that the outside world is a cruel place, and the there will be nothing but fear to grip her mind and soul. Kairi tried so hard to forget his words; she loved her home and believed in many strong figures of her imagination. This was the kind of behavior that Pitch deemed unacceptable. Sometimes, Pitch would order his minions to invade Kairi’s imaginative mind and replace her happiest thoughts with fear. During this kind of torture, Kairi would be chained to a wall to prevent her from escaping. At this point in time, Pitch had branded her with mark of his symbol to denote her as his slave.

In the next few years that followed(mind you, this would take place before Jack Frost joined the Guardians), Pitch had taken Kairi to carry out his plans to spread fear throughout the land. He then ordered Kairi to help his minions spread fear into the souls of every children. And, as usual, Kairi would resist, no matter how many times Pitch would whip her into doing so. As she kept on resisting, she began to hear a voice. The voice had told her, “Never be afraid. Your imagination is what shields you from fear. The Man in the Moon chose you for a reason. This here, is that reason. Use it well.” At that moment, Kairi saw something she never thought she’d see in a lifetime. She saw SAnta Claus, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, and the Sandman, all together, fighting all those nightmare horses, and reducing them to dust. Bu the fight was far from over; the nightmares kept on charging toward the village. Desperately wanting to help, Kairi did something extraordinary. She found that, with a wave of her hands, large waves of water began charging toward the nightmares, destroying them.

Amazed by her abilities, the Guardians felt pity for Kairi, because she had been tortured long enough. Tooth was impressed that she could destroy nightmares using only water, and Bunnymund was amazed at her courage, while Sandy empathized with her. North offered to take Kairi in his workshop at the North Pole, while at the same time providing her with a living space. Kairi readily agreed; she now had a new-found family with the Guardians. And the Guardians did their best to make Kairi feel like a new Guardian: Sandy helped Kairi get rid of the mark on her made by Pitch, Tooth gave her a crystal necklace, Bunnymund gave her some weapons she could use, and North provided her with a new outfit and trained her.
