Biography[]
Ingrid was born in a futuristic Mars colony that forbid natural births to control population. At the time of her birth, her parents were executed, causing an old man to rescue and bring her to his secret underground orphanage where he kept several other children. For some unknown reason, the little girl he saved believed she was born a lost puppy, earning her the name at the time, "Dog Girl". She met Peabody and family when the group took their first trip in the future. Peabody saved her from the colony's peacekeepers, causing Dog Girl to imprint on him as her new father. After saving the colony, Peabody and Anna decide to adopt her, with Anna naming her Ingrid. She currently lives in present-day New York City, in Peabody's penthouse. Ingrid has a hard time pronouncing words, causing her to talk in mostly single-syllable words and incomplete sentences. Peabody often home schools her in order to help her learn better English. She calls him "Mr. Peabubble", which he finds cute. Ingrid often walks with her fists curled up to look like dog paws. She developed a lot of dog-like mannerisms, causing some people to have not-so-good first impressions of her. Though Ingrid also has strong relationships with her adoptive mother and brother, she is the closest to Peabody because she imprinted on him. Even though her dog behavior makes her weird, she has also developed some advantages. For example, she has a strong sense of smell and a strong bite force. Ingrid has a pretty good interest in learning and going on adventures as long as she's with Peabody.
