Gobi the Camel is a character from the Banjo-Kazooie games. He is first found in Banjo-Kazooie in Gobi's Valley, where the heat is too much for even him to handle. After Banjo and Kazooie rescue him, he rewards them with a jiggy, then ruses over to the oasis, where Trunker the Tree needs water. Banjo and Kazooie then must use his water to feed trunker. Their torture of Gobi then becomes a running gag, as they also torture him to get an extra honeycomb piece, which makes him leave for Click Clock Wood. While at Click Clock Wood, they use his water to make the giant flower grow. After having taken enough abuse, Gobi decides to leave for the "lava world", referencing Mount Fire Eyes, a level that was cut from the final game due to time constraints. In Banjo-Tooie, Gobi has been captured by Grunty's minions on his way to the lava world, and has been held prisoner at WitchyWorld for two years, long enough for him to grow a big, grey beard. After Banjo and Kazooie rescue him once more, he continues to leave for the lava world, which at this point is revealed to be the lava side of Hailfire Peaks. However, he's not quite free from Banjo and Kazooie yet, as they need his water to cool down Chuffy's boiler so they can go to the train station on the icy side of Hailfire Peaks.
