Gabriel Garza 2 is an American 3D computer animated adventure comedy film produced by Gingo Animation for Universal Pictures. 17 feature in Universal Animated Features canon, it was directed by series creator Geo G and written by Geo, Dan Fogelman, Erica Rivinoja, and Brian Lynch from an story by Geo, and is sequel to Gabriel Garza (2011), which began Reboot Franchise of Gabriel Garza Series. Sometime after 1 film, Gabriel, Roge, Leno, Cole, and Loy go to visit Donnie Stampdla, Loy old friend and assistant, along with his 2 enthusiastic children Lily and Lester Stampdla. But reunion quickly takes bizarre turn when New Foe arrives in Sinking Spring, with plan to transform all of Garza brothers Elves into leek monsters.
Zachary Gordon, Elijah Wood, Alexander Gould, Jonathan Morgan Heit, Hayden Panettiere, with Frankie Jonas, and Alan Tudyk reprise their roles as Gabriel, Roge, Leno, Cole, Claire, Jan, and Loy, respectively. New cast members include Isla Fisher as Lily Stampdla, Jake T Austin as Lester Stampdla, with David Tennant as Donnie Stampdla, and Rob Corddry as Mr Leek.
Gabriel Garza 2 premiere at Annecy International Festival on June 25, 2014, and was released in US on July 2, 2014. It was met with positive reviews from critics and was nominated for 2015 Annie Award for Best Animated Feature, losing to Big Hero 6. Having grossed over $954 million worldwide, it became 48 highest grossing film of all time, 14 Highest Grossing Animated Film Of All Time, 3 highest grossing film of 2014, and 5 highest grossing film from Universal Animation Studios.
