Bert is a character from Thomas the Tank Engine and The Railway Series. He is the oldest out of the original three engines on the Arlesdale Railway.

This is number 99. Bert arrived along with Mike and Rex on the Arlesdale Railway from their recently abandoned line in England. Bert once had a mishap with spraying the Fat and Thin Clergymen with water. Another is when his coupler broke off.

Bert is based on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway's River Irt.
