D7101Bear

An illustration of Bear from The Railway Series Books.

Diesel 7101, or Diesel 3, Class 35 or Bear, is a character from The Railway Series. He is a friendly diesel who sometimes gets to pull the express. He is nicknamed from his tendency to growl at inopportune moments. He became friends with Henry after they worked together to get the Express, as well as a broken-down D199 and his train of Oil Tankers to the station. D199 was sent back to the other railway in disgrace, but Bear got to stay on Sir Topham Hatt's railway with Henry.
