Balloon Boy (known by Scott Cawthon as BB) is one of the antagonists in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, he is the only animatronic that cannot attack nor jumpscare you, instead he will disable the vent lights and your flashlight, rendering you as bait for Foxy.
Balloon Boy returns in Five Nights at Freddy's 3 as one of the six Phantom Animatronics, he will appear on one of the ten cameras as a close-up, eyeless, burnt head. Failure to change the cameras will result in the monitor being forced off, which causes a ghostly, dark and burnt version of BB to jumpscare you, by lunging at you with his mouth wide open. He will disable the ventilation system which will gives Springtrap an easier chance to kill you.
Balloon Boy will return in the Five Nights at Freddy's 4 update, being released on October 31st, 2015, as a horrific Nightmare Animatronic, he is most likely able to jumpscare you as shown with his giant hands (a first for BB, as previously he only had spheres with holes for hands) and sharp teeth.
