Plot[]
It was a sunny morning in Vermilion City, and at Chloe Cerise’s house, the breakfast table was a delightful chaos of chatter and pancakes. Chloe, alongside her trusty Eevee and dreamy Galarian Ponyta, was catching up with her besties Ash and Goh, who were, of course, accompanied by Pikachu, Lucario, Grookey, and the sleek Inteleon. But today’s breakfast guests were anything but ordinary; the Parrs and Lucius decided to come over. Professor Cerise answered the door; he greeted them, and they greeted him back. Violet sat calmly with her Slurpuff nestled in her lap and her Jigglypuff eyeing the syrup. Dash was playfully zipping around the living room while Jack-Jack happily babbled at Goh’s Grookey. Bob and Helen Parr exchanged a knowing glance as Lucius stirred his tea, his ever-glamorous Frosmoth hovering above the table, glittering like an icy chandelier.
Just as the group was discussing plans to explore the Sinnoh region, Professor Cerise had finished cooking breakfast. Everyone sat down. Parker and Talia walked in to meet the Parrs and Lucius for the very first time. They introduced themselves, and they introduced themselves back. The introductions were heartwarming. Parker and Talia sat down. Everyone was eating breakfast. Pikachu, Lucario, Inteleon, Grookey, Yamper, Eevee, Galarian Ponyta, Slurpuff, Jigglypuff, Frosmoth, and Pancham were also eating breakfast. Talia told the Parrs and Lucius she was the wife of Professor Cerise and mother of Chloe and Parker. Helen and Talia bonded over motherhood experiences. Everyone finished eating breakfast. Dash tried to race Parker. Chloe chuckled. Yamper was on her lap, while Chloe was petting him. Parker and Talia congratulated Ash for making it into the Master Class. He thanked them. Ash, Goh, Chloe, the Parrs, and Lucius, along with their Pokémon, left. Chloe decided to leave Yamper behind. She said bye to him, and he wagged his tail. Ash and his friends left. Professor Cerise, Talia, and Parker said bye to them, and they said bye back. The group was at the train station. Violet took out her Rotom Phone to record every moment, while Lucius’s Rotom Phone scanned Chloe's Galarian Ponyta. The group got on a plane. They were looking out the window, looking at the pretty sights. The plane landed.
Their arrival in Sinnoh was met with nostalgia and excitement. Ash, Chloe, and Goh reminisced about their last journey here, while Violet and Lucius took in the snowy charm. Before long, they were greeted by the bubbly and energetic Dawn—reunited with Ash and Goh, and meeting the Parrs for the first time. Her Piplup leapt into a happy spin while her Buneary curtsied shyly at Jack-Jack, who giggled in delight. Violet shook hands with Dawn, while Lucius complimented her outfit and quietly let Pancham out to meet Buneary, who blushed and Pancham blushed back in response.
As the group admired the glistening trees and mapped out their journey, disaster struck. Team Rocket appeared with a signature “Prepare for trouble!” and chaos ensued. Jessie’s Wobuffet slammed into action, James’s Morpeko switched from Full Belly to Hangry Mode faster than Dash on caffeine, and Team Rocket’s sinister Rotom Phone cackled while hacking nearby signals. A swirling, electrified portal ripped through the sky like someone had opened a cosmic blender. In a blink, Lucario, Inteleon, Jigglypuff, and Pancham were snatched by Team Rocket, who took them into the portal, and Metroville’s skyline was briefly visible through the portal before it slammed shut.
Without hesitation, Dawn, Goh, Violet, Bob, and Lucius sprang into action. Using a leftover trace of the portal’s energy, Ash, Goh, and Chloe's Rotom Phones, assisted by Violet's and Lucius’s Rotom Phones, pinpointed a frequency to re-open the rift. With one last look back at their friends, the five dove into the swirling portal, vanishing into Metroville’s dimension. Ash, Chloe, Helen, Dash, and Jack-Jack tried to follow, but the portal collapsed, leaving them stranded. As panic started to rise, a new, powerful presence emerged from the shadows: Cynthia, Champion of Sinnoh. With her Glaceon and Garchomp flanking her, she greeted Ash and Chloe like old friends, raising a brow at the Helen, Dash, and Jack-Jack accompanying them. She introduced herself, and they introduced themselves back. Cynthia told Helen, Dash, and Jack-Jack that she was the champion of Sinnoh; they found that amazing.
Meanwhile, Group 2 crash-landed into Metroville, causing several car alarms to go off. While Goh dusted off his jacket and Bob helped Lucius to his feet, Dawn was already investigating the surroundings. They were soon greeted by Karen, a close friend of Helen Parr, who had been alerted by some dimensional disturbances. Karen is happy to see Bob, Violet, and Lucius again and they are happy to see her as well. Karen asks who are the extra people with Bob, Violet, and Lucius, Goh and Dawn introduce themselves and she introduces herself back, Goh and Dawn tell Karen they're from the Pokèmon World which is in another dimension. With Karen's sharp wit and no-nonsense energy, Karen immediately took charge, guiding the group to a safe house where they could regroup. Violet, Bob, and Lucius ask Karen how she has been. She tells them she went to work, went home, then partied in her past few days. Karen asks Bob where are Helen, Dash, and Jack-Jack, he tells her they're in the Pokèmon World, she finds it interesting how the Parr Family and Lucius have been staying the Pokèmon World, Karen is impressed by Frosmoth, Lucius thanks her. Goh tells Karen his goal is to catch Mew, she is amazed by ambition. A fantasy shot of Mew appears.
Back in Sinnoh, Cynthia took Group 1 to her villa in Celestic Town. She had suspected strange disturbances in the region for days: Rotom Phone interference, mysterious Pokémon behavior, and now a cosmic kidnapping? Yeah, something was up. Ash and Chloe introduced her to Helen and the kids. Dash excitedly peppered Cynthia with questions while Jack-Jack petted Glaceon. Helen kept an eye on the little ones as Cynthia revealed she had seen this interdimensional pattern once before. Jack-Jack rides on Garchomp while laughing. Helen gets him off of Garchomp. Dash tells Cynthia he finds her Garchomp to be awesome. She thanks him.
Metroville was proving no less chaotic. Team Rocket had split up Jessie and Wobbuffet disguised as "stylists," James running a suspicious smoothie stand with Morpeko terrorizing customers. Meanwhile, they secretly used Metroville’s energy to power a device keeping Lucario, Inteleon, Jigglypuff, and Pancham in stasis. Bob and Lucius tried to track them, with Lucius using Frosmoth to create icy paths across rooftops, while Dawn’s Piplup and Buneary scouted from alleyways. Goh sent Grookey on recon, and Violet’s Slurpuff sniffed out Team Rocket’s scent like a marshmallow detective, Karen tells Goh, Dawn, Bob, Violet, and Lucius about a secret lab, they get excited.
Ash was feeling the pressure. He stood under the snowy skies of Sinnoh, pacing while Pikachu nuzzled him gently. Chloe, Eevee, and Ponyta tried to comfort him, but he was worried for Lucario. Cynthia suggested checking ancient Sinnoh ruins tied to spatial energy. As they approached the ruins with her, strange glyphs glowed and a message appeared: “Portals between hearts and worlds open only when bonds run deepest.” Dash interpreted that as “punching solves everything,” while Jack-Jack snuck off stole a berry, he came back with it already eaten. Helen, more calmly, suggested it meant the team needed to stay emotionally strong—and Cynthia agreed, they’d find their friends again. Chloe checks her Rotom Phone and sees data about the ruins, she sends it to Ash, he checks his Rotom Phone, he shows the data to Cynthia who is not surprised.
Over in Metroville, Karen led Group 2 to a hidden lab where she worked on energy flux devices. Violet was a natural at analyzing spatial distortions. Lucius flirted with a blueprint, while Bob stressed about Dash and Helen being in another dimension. Dawn noticed something odd; her Rotom Phone detected a weak ping from Lucario, despite a lack of signal. Team Rocket was revealed to have hacked the system to allow a temporary signal; they were happy to see their Rotom Phone had a signal only to see it go back out, and they became disappointed. The Pokémon were still alive, just held underground. Goh and Violet prepared a two-pronged attack plan while Lucius had Frosmoth be prepared; Bob and Karen also helped.
Team Rocket, unaware that their party was about to be crashed harder than a Wobuffet in a glass shop, continued their villainous banter. Morpeko bit James. Jessie got zapped by an overloaded Rotom Phone trying to live-stream their evil plans. Their hold on the Pokémon started weakening—especially Lucario, whose aura flared dangerously. Metroville may not have had wild Pokémon, but it was about to witness a Lucario-led jailbreak.
Meanwhile, Cynthia taught Ash and Chloe the ancient art of meditative bond-channeling. Helen meditated, too—until Dash ran circles so fast he caused a minor snow tornado. Cynthia's Glaceon froze the wind just in time. Chloe’s Ponyta gave Dash a ride, much to his delight. Jack-Jack smelled Cynthia’s tea; she told him it was lemon and honey flavored; he clapped and laughed.
At last, Group 2 broke into the underground lab; however, the guards spotted them and threw stuff at them, causing the group to run. Violet tells Goh those guards are crazy; he tells her no kidding. Karen tells Bob and Lucius they need to get back in there; they tell her they will. Back in Sinnoh, Cynthia and the others stood before a flickering projection sent by Goh through Rotom Phone relay. It showed their friends alive, safe—but unable to return... yet. Chloe clenched her fists. Ash looked at Pikachu, determined. Helen put her arm around Jack-Jack. They would find a way to reunite. The portal would open again, but the journey wasn’t over.
