• (We open this episode with the Thomas and Friends Season 6 intro)
• (After that, we begin the character introduction)
• Alec Baldwin: Thomas is a really useful engine. Here's Percy. He is a very happy engine. James is a magnificent engine. Gordon is the most fastest engine on the Island of Sodor. Henry is long and fast. Here's Edward always here to help.
• (A passing by sequence occurs and we begin James and The Express)
• George Carlin: One night, Henry and Gordon were alone with James. Although Sir Topham Hatt was beginning to think well of them. Whenever a chance came the other engines will talk of nothing but bootlaces.
• Henry: Remember when they had to use a bootlace to get you out of trouble, James?
• George Carlin: They would tease. James tried to get back by talking about Henry who got shut up in a tunnel and Gordon who got stuck on a hill. But they wouldn't listen.
• Gordon: You talk too much little James.
• George Carlin: Said Gordon.
• Gordon: A fine strong engine like me has something to talk about. I'm the only engine who can pull the express. When I'm not there, they need two engines. Think of that. I've pulled expresses for years, and have never once lost my way. I seem to know the right line by instinct.
• George Carlin: Every wise engine knows that the signalman sets the switches to make the engines run on the right track, but Gordon was so proud he had forgotten.
• Gordon: Wake up, James.
• George Carlin: Said Gordon next morning.
• Gordon: It's time for the express. What are you doing? Odd Jobs? Ah well. We all have to begin somewhere, don't we? Run along and get my coaches. Don't be late.
• George Carlin: James went to get Gordon's coaches. They were all shining with lovely new paint. He was careful not to bump them and they followed him smoothly into the station, singing happily...
• Coaches: We're going away, we're going away.
• James: I wish I was going with you.
• George Carlin: Said James.
• James: I should love to pull the express and go flying above the line!
• George Carlin: Gordon with much noise and blowing off steam, got ready to back on to the train. Sir Topham Hatt was on the train with other important people and as soon as they heard the conductor's whistle, Gordon started.
• Gordon: Look at me now! Look at me now!
• George Carlin: He puffed and the coaches glided after him.
• Gordon: Boop boop boop boop boop! Goodbye, little James, see you tomorrow!
• George Carlin: James watched the train disappeared and then went back to work. He pushed some freight cars into their proper sidings and went to fetch the coaches for another train. James had just brought the coaches to the platform when he heard a mournful noise. There was Gordon trying to sneak into the station without being noticed.
• James: Hello, Gordon. Is it tomorrow?
• George Carlin: Gordon didn't answer. He just let off steam feebly.
• James: Did you lose your weight, Gordon?
• Gordon: No, it was lost for me. I was switched off the main line onto the loop. I have to go all around and back again.
• James: Perhaps it was instinct.
• George Carlin: Said James. All the passengers were shouting at the ticket window.
• Passengers: We want our money back!
• George Carlin: Sir Topham Hatt climbed onto a cart and blew the conductor's whistle so loudly that they all stopped to look at him. Then he promised a new train at once.
• Sir Topham Hatt: Gordon can't do it. Will you pull it for us, James?
• James: Yes sir, I'll try.
• George Carlin: So James was coupled on, and everyone got in.
• Sir Topham Hatt: Do your best, James.
• George Carlin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
• James: Come along, come along!
• George Carlin: Said James.
• Coaches: You're pulling us well, you're pulling us well!
• George Carlin: Sang the coaches.
• James: Hurry, hurry, hurry!
• George Carlin: Puffed James. Bridges and stations flashed by the passengers cheered and they soon reached the station. Everyone said thank you to James and Sir Topham Hatt was very impressed.
• Sir Topham Hatt: Well done. Would you like to pull the express sometimes?
• James: Yes, please.
• George Carlin: Answered James. Next day when James came by, Gordon was pushing freight cars.
• Gordon: I like some quiet work for a change.
• George Carlin: He said.
• Gordon: I'm teaching these cars manners. You did well with those coaches I hear. Good, we'll show them.
• George Carlin: And he gave his cars a bump. James and Gordon are now good friends. James sometimes takes the express to give Gordon a rest. Gordon never talks about bootlaces, and they are both quite agreed on a subject of freight cars.
• (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin The Snow Song)
• Children: (singing) You wake to the silence the bright afterglow. Now there's a surprise for what do you know. It's snowing. Look, it's snowing. Little Jack Frost has been busy last night. The Island of Sodor is a blanket of white 'Cause it's snowing. Yes, it's snowing. White winter wonderland. Beautiful day. Snow, snow, snow, snow. Snow, snow, snow, snow. There in the valley someone you'll know. The little blue train finds his way through the snow. Whistle blowing. Yes, it's snowing. It's a beautiful world; It's a lovely day. Cherish this moment, remember this day 'Cause it's snowing. Yes, it's snowing. White winter wonderland. Beautiful day. Snow, snow, snow, snow.
• (Children laughing)
• Children: (singing) White winter wonderland. Beautiful day. Snow, snow, snow, snow. Snow, snow, snow, snow. Stay, stay, please stay.
• (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Haunted Henry)
• Alec Baldwin: It was a moonlit night. Henry was taking a goods train to the station by the lake.
• (Owl hoots)
• Edward: Whenever that owl hoots, a mist rolls in.
• Alec Baldwin: Murmured Edward.
• Edward: There's a legend that when the mist is about, there's a ghost about too. Take care on the old line, Henry.
• Henry: Stupid bird!
• Alec Baldwin: Said Henry.
• Henry: Owls, mists, ghosts. Edward's going soft to the boiler. There's no mist.
• Alec Baldwin: But Henry was wrong.
• Henry: What's that?
• Alec Baldwin: Cried Henry.
• Henry's Driver: It's an amber lamp.
• Alec Baldwin: Murmured his driver.
• Henry's Driver: That means proceed with caution. Who's there?
• Alec Baldwin: No one replied. Henry crept slowly forward. He stopped by a tree. It had a sign nailed to it: Beware of The Viaduct. The driver was surprised.
• Henry's Driver: No one warned us about that before and look, the signal's red and the gates are closed. A-a-and there's a fogman's coat. But where is his owner?
• Alec Baldwin: Then, they saw a light move within a station building.
• Henry: G-g-g-ghosts!
• Alec Baldwin: Exclaimed Henry.
• Henry: Edward was right.
• Henry's Driver: Something very strange is happening.
• Alec Baldwin: Said his driver.
• Henry's Driver: I think it's best we go back.
• Henry: So do I!
• Alec Baldwin: Agreed Henry. By morning, the mist had cleared. A workman was talking about the unsafe viaduct.
• Workman: Lucky you didn't cross it last night.
• Henry's Driver: Yes, but we don't know who warned us?
• Alec Baldwin: Replied Henry's driver. Later that day, he spoke to Henry.
• Henry's Driver: The viaduct has been repaired. We can take our train back along the old line tonight.
• Alec Baldwin: Henry didn't really want to. But when nightfall came, he was sizzling nicely. Suddenly, an owl hooted and then Gordon thundered by.
• Freight Car: Oh look. Henry's spooked.
• Alec Baldwin: Said a freight car.
• (The freight cars giggling)
• Henry: Be quiet!
• Alec Baldwin: Snapped Henry.
• Henry: I'm not scared.
• Alec Baldwin: But he was. A little later, the fog came down. As they approached the same area, they saw the amber light again.
• Henry's Driver: Here we go.
• Alec Baldwin: Said Henry's driver. Then, unknown to Henry, the gates mysteriously closed by themselves and the signal went red. The trucks had seen everything and they were spooked.
• Freight Cars: Faster, faster. There's a ghost about.
• Henry: Stop, stop!
• Alec Baldwin: Yelled Henry.
• (Henry and the freight cars crash through the crossing gates)
• Alec Baldwin: A mysterious figure watched Henry go by. Ahead was a landslide blocking the line. Henry braked hard but the freight cars hit some of the rubble and plunged into the ravine.
• (The freight cars fall down and crashed towards the ground with a loud Kuh-Thud)
• Alec Baldwin: Just then, Henry's driver saw a strange sight coming towards them.
• Henry's Driver: What's that?
• Alec Baldwin: He said. The fireman laughed.
• Henry's Fireman: That's our ghost. It's Old Bailey the Fogman.
• Alec Baldwin: Old Bailey was very cross.
• Old Bailey: I tried to warn you about the viaduct. Why didn't ye pay attention?
• Henry's Driver: We're sorry.
• Alec Baldwin: Replied the driver.
• Henry's Driver: Is there anything we can do to thank you?
• Old Bailey: I like to operate that old station. If you let me, I promise I won't spook Henry again.
• Alec Baldwin: And in a little while, Old Bailey's wish was granted.
• Sir Topham Hatt: You and your station will be really useful.
• Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
• Sir Topham Hatt: Let's hear a hearty thank you to the friendliest, eh, ghost on the island.
• Alec Baldwin: Everyone cheered. Especially Henry, who was the happiest of all.
• (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Harold The Helicopter)
• Children: (singing) Who do you call when the chips are down? When your back is against the wall. When there's no way out and time is running out and you're heading for a fall? High in the sky. Suddenly comes the hero. You can rely on him. Harold the Helicopter, pride of the skies. First to the rescue should help be required. Harold the Helicopter, brave is he. Courage is his name. So look to the skies, should danger arise. Look to the skies, for Harold will be there. He is a natural hero. He is guardian of the skies. And down through the years there are many tales of his courage in the skies. Out from the clouds. Suddenly comes the hero. We recognize that sound. Harold the Helicopter, pride of the skies. • Alec Baldwin: Thomas, Percy and James were looking at the early morning sky.
• Thomas: Everyone's so much happier when springtime comes.
• Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas.
• James: Everyone except Sir Topham Hatt.
• Alec Baldwin: Grumbled James.
• James: He seems to be working us harder that ever. I'm tired of these coastal runs.
• Percy: He just wants everything to be ready for the holidays.
• Alec Baldwin: Replied Percy.
• Percy: Anyway, salty air makes me all cheerful in my smokebox.
• James: Pah!
• Alec Baldwin: Snorted James.
• James: It's the countryside that really gets me fired up, it's the only place to be!
• Alec Baldwin: And he puffed away to collect his freight cars from the docks. Thomas and Percy have to take some empty freight cars to the scrap yards. In a siding, they saw an old slowcoach. She looked very sad.
• Percy: What are you doing here?
• Old Slowcoach: They called me Old Slowcoach, and told me I wasn't useful anymore. Now I only have mice ride in me.
• Thomas: Well, you may be dusty, but you look in perfect shape.
• Alec Baldwin: The Yard manager appeared.
• Yard Manager: Come along, I have freight cars for you to take away.
• Percy's Driver: Excuse me.
• Alec Baldwin: Said Percy's Driver.
• Percy's Driver: Can you tell us about this coach?
• Yard Manager: Old Slowcoach; she's been here for years. She'll be broken up when we find the time.
• Alec Baldwin: He replied. The engines were most dismayed.
• Thomas: We'll try and help you.
• Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas. But he didn't know how. Meanwhile, James was enjoying himself.
• James: This is the life!
• Alec Baldwin: He chortled, but he was heading for trouble. One of the fuel cars was leaking, and suddenly, it caught fire.
• James: Oh, help!
• Alec Baldwin: Cried James. They reached a siding, and his driver gave the alarm.
• James' Driver: It's fuel, and it's dangerous.
• Alec Baldwin: As Thomas and Percy approached the junction, they saw the smoke, and a guard waving a red flag.
• Guard: Sparks from James' funnel have set the cars a blaze.
• Alec Baldwin: He called.
• Guard: The fire's under control, but it's quite a mess.
• Percy: You said the countryside run got you all 'fired up', James.
• Alec Baldwin: Said Percy.
• Percy: But I didn't think you meant it in this way.
• James: Pah!
• Alec Baldwin: Snorted James.
• James: It was the stupid cars' fault, not mine.
• Fireman: It's safe to proceed now.
• Alec Baldwin: Called a fireman. Thomas and Percy puffed slowly by, but now they felt sorry for James. It wasn't long before they reached the station. Later, as they were having a long drink at the water towers, they suddenly heard a commotion.
• Thomas: What's the matter?
• Alec Baldwin: Thomas asked.
• Thomas' Driver: It's another fire at the workman's hut.
• Alec Baldwin: Replied Thomas' Driver.
• Thomas' Driver: We better see what we can do.
• (Thomas and Percy race into the scene only to see the hut on fire)
• Alec Baldwin: The fire engines arrived but they had a big problem.
• Fireman: We are completely out of water!
• Alec Baldwin: Cried a fireman.
• Fireman: We can't use sea water cause it clogs our works. We'll just have to let that building burn.
• Alec Baldwin: Then Thomas had an idea.
• Thomas: Why don't you use the water in our tanks? We've just refilled them.
• Alec Baldwin: The firemen wasted no time.
• Thomas' Driver: You're very clever engines.
• Alec Baldwin: Chuckled their drivers. Soon, the fire was out, but the hut where the workmen lived was destroyed.
• Foreman: The men can't sleep on the beach.
• Alec Baldwin: Said the Foreman.
• Percy: What about Old Slowcoach? She would be perfect for the workmen.
• Thomas: Comfy, too.
• Alec Baldwin: Added Thomas.
• Percy's Driver: What a good idea, Percy.
• Alec Baldwin: Said his driver. They phoned Sir Topham Hatt, who agreed.
• Sir Topham Hatt: She'll be spic and span by the time you collect her.
• Alec Baldwin: And she was, and very happy, too.
• Old Slowcoach: I can't thank you enough. I feel splendid.
• Alec Baldwin: The engines buffered up to her, and she set off happily for her new home. Everyone agreed there was nothing old or slow about coach, and she will always be really useful indeed.
• (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Thomas' Anthem)
• Children: (singing) It's Thomas the Tank Engine. Hip, hip, hip, hip, hooray! Chugga-chugga, chugg, chugg Chuff, chuff, chuff. He rides along the way. And when you hear that whistle, It can only be one train. Our favourite little engine, Thomas is his name! Thomas the Tank Engine rolling along, (whistling) All of his friends will be coming along. Thomas, we love you. He's a really useful engine With his heart that's big and strong. He chugga-chugga, chuff-chuffs working hard Helping everyone. Thomas, he has lots of friends And you can be one too. Just clap, clap, clap and sing-along Thomas, we love you. He chugga-chugga-chuff-chuffs everywhere, He's always playing games. The Fat Controller scolds him, But loves him just the same. Our favourite little engine, Thomas is his name!
