Brian Cummings: After years as America's jazziest animated and red-haired TV star of the '90s, Pepper Ann has gone Hollywood! Now, Walt Disney Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Dimension Films and Columbia Pictures present, in association with Disney Channel Movies... the first sneak preview of the biggest, grooviest and most hot rockin' new motion picture sensation of the summer as all your favorite Pepper Ann characters on TV... take over the big screen!
To help bring the city of Hazelnut to life on the big screen, Disney's "Pepper Ann's 1st Movie" enlisted the amazing talents of Prince of Egypt director Brenda Chapman who not only will be directing the film, but will also be introducing a new Pepper Ann character named Marianne and performing all four new original songs in the movie.
And to continue the classic legacy of Pepper Ann's 1st Movie, Brenda drew inspiration from the beloved Pepper Ann characters as seen on Disney's One Saturday Morning.
The film also helped assemble the original voice talents of Kathleen Wilhoite, Clea Lewis, Danny Cooksey, Kath Soucie and Tara Charendoff, as well as exciting new star-studded additions to the Pepper Ann's 1st Movie voice cast, including Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Julia Sweeney, Drew Barrymore, Christine Baranski, Mary-Kate Olsen, Madeline Zima, Jodie Sweetin, Rosie O'Donnell, Lacey Chabert, Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Hayden Panettiere and Wayne Allwine, Bill Farmer, Russi Taylor and Tress MacNeille as the voices of Mickey, Minnie, Daisy and Goofy, as well as Amanda Dianne Foutley and Mandie Moore, best known for their roles in "The Princess Diaries."
